The aim of the invention is indeed to eliminate the previously described disadvantages by providing a process, for manufacturing footwear such as slippers, to obtain a new product which, besides having improved structural characteristics, considerably simplifies all its manufacturing steps. Within the scope of the above described aim, a particular object of the invention is to provide a process for obtaining a finished product, with no further processing, the trimmings whereof are particularly precise, thus contributing to a considerable increase in the value of the slipper. A further object of the present invention is to provide a process which, by virtue of the peculiar characteristics of its execution, is capable of giving the greatest assurances of reliability and safety in use. Not least object of the present invention is to provide a slipper which is easily obtainable starting from commonly commercially available elements and materials and is furthermore competitive from a merely economical point of view.
