Views from ALANYA CASTLE were ASTONISHING 😱 || Things to do in ALANYA (part of) ANTALYA TURKEY 🇹🇷 In today's video, I visited Alanya Castle Turkey (also known as Alanya Kalesi), which is the southern part of Turkey, Alanya, in the province of Antalya. We took the Alanya Teleferik (Alanya cable car) to reach the top of the hill where Alanya Kalesi is situated. You can see breathtaking views of the world-famous Cleopatra Beach of Alanya, as well as the Damlatas cave (also called Damlataş Mağarası in Turkish). Alanya Castle (sometimes called Alanya Fortress) was famously conquered by Sultan Alauddin Kaikobad, who was a Sultan (or King) of the Seljuk Empire. Fans of the famous Turkish drama series Dirilis Ertugrul (or Diriliş Ertuğrul fans) will be familiar with Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I of the Selcuk Dynasty and will definitely find Alanya Kalesi a place of interest since the castle was the second most significant place of residence of Sultan Aladdin, after his palace in Konya. In fact, Alanya was deemed as the 'winter capital' by the Sejuk Sultan Aladdin (also known as Selcuk Sultan Alauddin Kayqubad), and Konya was the initial place of residence for the rest of the year. Interestingly, Alanya Castle has been around from the Byzantine and Roman era, conquered by the Seljuk Empire and then the Ottoman Empire. If you visit Alanya, in the province of Antalya in the Southern coast of Turkey, then you must visit the Alanya cable cars, the Damlatas Caves, Cleopatra Beach as well as the Alanya Castle.
