Tincup Pass Video Trail Guide and Review featuring a stock Jeep Renegade, two KL Cherokee Trailhawks, and a stock Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Tincup Pass is near Buena Vista, Colorado and can be started from either St. Elmo, CO or Tincup, CO. The trail is rated as Difficult due a few rough sections, but only reaches a 6 if you take Old Tincup, the original more vertical route to the top. I’d definitely recommend skid plates, rock rails, good tires, and have a true a 4wd system in your vehicle. Disconnecting the sway bar and airing down will make the trip more enjoyable for most. Time Stamps St. Elmo: 0:33 Start of Trail: 1:01 Drivers: 1:52 Camping Spots: 3:38 Tree Line: 5:54 Switchbacks via drone: 7:13 Snow Bashing: 8:04 Tincup Pass: 8:42 Getting Rougher: 9:19 Old Tincup: 12:34 Finally BIG rocks!: 14:03 One goes down: 20:29 Driving in the lake: 20:39 Trail Thoughts: 21:36 My name is Dewie Jones and I’ve been messing with Jeeps since I was younger. I’ve daily driven a wrangler my entire driving life starting with a 1997 TJ and now I’m in 2012 JK. I like the challenge of driving a stock wrangler on tough trails. My buds are not new to wheeling either, but for their own specific reasons, now wheel aggressive SUV based off-roaders like KL Cherokees, 4Runners, and Renegades. We decided Colorado Mallcrawlers was a funny name so we changed the channel’s name (plus the old name was hard to search for).

@H3YB33ZY3 years ago Holy crap that renegade can take some punishment! I actually was thinking of buying one and wondered what those little cars are capable of. I guess i id="hidden4"dont have to worry about slamming it into a rock wall every now and then. Thanks man! Hopefully the drivers car is all well and can take it a little slower next time:. ...Expand 16

@paulpita20552 years ago Good details. Also noticed no one was aired down. Would have helped with traction climbing and down hill on rocks. And you can manually disconnect sway bars with a few wrenches. 2

@duilioproni46724 years ago First of all, i love your videos. One of my more favorite channels. Keep up the good work!
i came here to harp on the renegade driver, but it seems one suggestion for the videos: when showing a car' s specs, why not freeze-frame for a few seconds while the car is passing so we can read the specs without missing any action? You could make the overlay more prominent, too. Sometimes i don' t notice them at all until the second (or third) viewing. ...Expand

Great editing too and really appreciate that you take the time to we' ve only been to colorado once just a couple months back and we did a lot of great hiking but we were too shy to risk our brand new 2020 cherokee and didn' t really know where a good spot to go would even be. Now i' ve discovered your videos and taking notes for ideas for our next trip out there. Your guides are really helpful and i appreciate that you don' t sugarcoat things or edit down to only the sunshine and rainbows parts. You are showing us some real wheeling, great places to do it, and giving us the info we need to decide which trails we are comfortable tackling. Thank you. ...Expand 1

@sking21734 years ago Very enjoyable video. I was surprised at just how capable the renegade was. I have generally considered them to only be a half-sibling in the jeep family. this is one aspect of this guys videos that i enjoy the most; seeing different models of 4x4s and awds compared in the trail environment. I am especially interested in seeing how cherokee-class cuvs perform on the trail. Its surprising how good the4x4 systems have become, and from what ive observed, jeepis about the best. ...Expand 4

@ocezam48293 years ago Wow! It' s extremely difficult to make a comment on this video and still remainyou guys are all in way over your heads. I could suggest better equipped vehicles (much better equipped. Heck the rubicon is riding on nearly bald tires. But better vehicles would be extremely inadequate given your combined driving skills. Really you should all think about a different hobby/pastime. My two kids driving offroad at 12 years old were much more competent. Seriously, you endanger everyone near you and can ruin a great day for others simply with your presence. I guess i won' t even bother commenting on thethat was given. Wow!
