@yes_temp_sem3 years ago I lubed it yesterday with krytox 205g0, filled with foam that was in the original package and I must say it is amazing. Took 12+ hours tho, but I think it was worth it (my first attempt at lubing the keyboard). Complains about the keyboard: few stabilizers are not "mx wanna be" style, so you can't lube them properly; you can't use other keycaps cuz of stupid designing decisions of trying to make some kind of new ecosystem; I would like to pay more for the aluminium bottom plate; I think keycaps are pretty low quality, so combining it with the non-regular style is a total disaster; and lastly a nitpick - I would prefer Bluetooth/Cable and Win/Mac switches to be grey or black. Overall it can get pretty expensive after some time (keycaps), but if you can take all these disadvantages it is a pretty good keyboard. Lubing makes it sound 3 times better! ... 16

@zero0000000003 years ago The dim lights are because of the keycaps restricting how much the light shining through. I have a K6 and swapping out the keycaps makes the RGB pops up a lot more. Unfortunate for K3's non compatible stem, alternative keycaps are really hard to find. ... 9

@ecceaufx32073 years ago Thanks for the update. Did the "steps" that the key rows form due to their shape not bother you at all? What I mean is, e.g. with the G915 the keys have the same height at the top and bottom, whereas with this one, the keys have a tilt (to make their top surface parallel to the desk I suppose). ... 6

@justanaveragebalkanlast month Coming from Logitec g512 with red switches, to the Keychron K3 pro Gatheron red, i can say it feels much better, the typing experience is much more pleasant. Customization for the price alone is just night and day, i didn't go for the rgb mode, because i just simply couldn't care less if it will be colored or not, opted out for the white backlight, and it's simply better than expected. The only issue that i had initially with the keyboard was that, it doesn't actually reconnect automatically to my Linux workstation, but that's fine i can't really find anything that's a downgrade compared to Logitec, so least for me, it's a great investment.
Also the size is great, just right for the desk, i have pretty big one, but because i test on lot of devices, i usually have my latptop, 3 monitors, 6 phones, ipad and android tablet, so saving that 35% space there really helped a lot. Bonus points for being able to use it alone with my laptop away from my desk, i can simply just lay it on top of it and use it like i do every day, something that just felt wrong with the Logitec keyboard because it was so heavy and wide.

@svlagonda74173 years ago Good video, not least because I've got one of these keyboards. Have to say that my experience is very similar to the poster below who said that the typing action isn't very satisfying. I've got the Keychron red optical switches too. It's 'okay' but its an oddly unsatisfying typing action - unsubstantial feeling. I also find the page up/down/home button placement really annoying as its non-standard. Any other low profile TKL or 70 keyboards that you would recommend? ... 2

@dunderal3 years ago Mine arrived broken. The RGB in the 3 bottom left switches didn't work. I took them out to try them on other areas to see if it was the switches or the base and one broke when I pulled it off. I contacted Keychron and they told me, yup it's broken (the base, not the switches). And they asked if they could just send me a new switch to replace the one that broke I reluctantly said yes since the keyboard was sold out on their website and I didn't feel like waiting... Well it's been 3-4 months and I'm still waiting for those switches. So I still don't have a left windows key... ... 1

@robertpearson85462 years ago I made the mistake of buying a Keychron K7. What I received was NOT wireless (no dongle included) and, when connected by USB cable, many keys did not work. Keychron ignored all my requests for an RMA and a refund.
Before buying anything from Keychron, think! Do you want to give your money to a company that treats its customers this way?

@masaytaka3 years ago Keyboard layout and software WARNING! There is a "Fn" key in the place of right "Alt". What's worse is that it CANNOT BE REMAPPED FOR some reason... So for anyone who needs right "Alt" to enter special characters in your alphabet, I wouldn't recommend this keyboard.
It's a pitty because the hardware is excellent. Seriously, I wasn't expecting such nice looks, heft, design and satin finish of the keycaps. The switches sound excellent and the tactile feedback is on point. All this amazing hardware experience makes the right "Alt" issue the more frustrating.

@GDubbleBubble2 years ago most people problems with wrist pain is because they dont use the proper typing technique. watch people use a writst pad and see how many people actually use it to as such. 99% of people use it as a palm pad. You're palms shouldn't be on the desk. you palms should never be lower than your typing fingers. When you type, it should be the same form as a pianist. fix your bad form and your wrist issues will go away. ...

@thecat42723 years ago I've been using this keyboard for the last 4 months or so. Initially bought the white optical switches but they were poor - less actuation force required but they produced alot of typing errors. Switched to the red optical switches which were a big improvement. Overall though, I'm still disappointed with the keyboard. It doesn't have a satisfying typing action and the keycaps are poor - small in size and very flimsy thin feeling. Overall 6/10. Simply not worth the money. ... 4
