@WebDesignMX054 years ago Hello from 2020! A world filled with unprecedented events (pandemics, easter tornadoes, wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, protests, looting, virtual schooling, mail voting, asteroids*, etc). My first smart bulbs I bought were Wyze, Sylvania bulbs and Magic. Then Lifx! After being frustrated with the existing Sylvannia Dimmable Smart Bulb A19 used for dawn/dusk porch lights repeatedly losing it's connection after repeating re-pairing from SmartThings and Alexa, I went and bought the TP-Link Kasa Smart Light Bulb Multi-Color. Everything seems to work well for Alexa, SmartThings Classic and Connect.but I couldn't get WebCore to recognize it. Like you, I want to control things from WebCore such as send alerts based on power usage and alternate colors on different days or other criteria.and trigger other devices in IFTT based on a behavior. Interestingly enough, I ran into a snag when I initially tried to add the TP-Link Kasa Smart Bulbs to Webcore as they weren't showing up as devices available to add under "Which actuators" so I had to add them to Capability Group 3 under "Which Switches" as per this link suggested.
Hope this helps someone else who sees your review on Cheap bulbs and decides to pick TP-Link Kasa bulbs. Nice colors, brightness and saturation but still not as good as LifX (although they give power usage where others don't) but far superior to other cheap bulbs! No idea why they didn't make this simpler - I skipped breakfast and burned 3+ hours trying to get this to work and pushed through it because I'm sooo inspired by you and Paul Hibbert!! You guys should do a challenge!!! I'm nervous about the new 2020 SmartThings update so I'll hold off updating until I investigate it's impact on others.
